Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi looked perfectly happy as they left Madeo restaurant after having a romantic dinner. These two are perfect for each other. Ellen is sporting a black jacket over a dark gray shirt and jeans while Portia is simply sexy in a dark turtle neck shirt and jeans.

Power couple Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon is not your usual stylish couple but with their budding romance Jake’s laidback attitude and style totally corresponds with Reese’s preppy spirit. Jake is into casual tees, sweaters. Plaid shirt and the occasional slim fit suits. Reese kept him from looking slack in her flawless prim self.

Fans may hate them for getting back together but Jennifer Lopez is still a style icon and Mark Anthony is still an amazing singer. Jennifer looks strikingly sexy in this silver gown that sets off her curves while Mark is suited up in a three piece ensemble.

Black is back with power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Brad wearing one of his black linen suits and AJ in a tight fitting strapless leather dress. These power couple is so hot you can actually say they’re totally perfect together.

Beautiful couple Seal and Heidi Klum have been married since 2005 and these two are still in the long haul. They’re still madly in love with each other and it shows! Seal in black blazers and a v-neck shirt with Heidi in a sparkling mini dress.

Demi Moore was an IT girl and Ashton Kutcher was just a goofy comedy star and yet these two are crazy for each other. Ashton is sporting a two piece suit while gazing into the eyes of her dream IT girl while Demi is wearing a a silver tight fitting dress that still shows her sexy curves.

A New Rising Star to Watch: Alex Pettyfer

The year 2011 will be a big year for a promising young actor Alex Pettyfer as he played the lead role in the upcoming big sci-fi movie entitled “I am Number Four”.

Before this major in his acting career, this English lad had been busy modeling for famous fashion brands like GAP, Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein, wherein he sports some fine fitted suits for men, jeans, caps and other outfits and accessories these brands has to offer.

Now, his rise to be lined up as one of the next promising action actors in the industry like Bruce Willis and Arnold Swarchenegger lies in his performance in this most anticipated sci-fi action movie. If that happens, I guess he won’t be wearing a plaid suit anymore but more on like leather jackets or military jackets that are usually worn by action stars.

When asked about the movie, the young English actor said “It’s about a boy turning into a man, turning into a warrior [and] having to follow his destiny.

“I hope we have the success [like] ‘Twilight.’ We’ll take the success of ‘Twilight,’ but we have not made a ‘Twilight’ movie. I mean, there’s this compelling story of romance in ‘I Am Number Four,’ which drives John to what he does, but he’s a reluctant hero,” Alex continued.

The movie is set to hit the big screen on February 18.

Volkswagen XL1: The Triple Digit Fuel Economizer

Another promising futuristic car was unveiled at the Qatar Auto Show in Doha. It is the Volkswagen AG’s XL1 prototype, that is said to have a triple digit fuel economizer that can travel for just .9 liters for 100 kilometers, or an estimated 260 mpg-which is so far the first ever car to be run miles at less needed fuel. If you will analyze, Qatar is one of the oil riches countries in the world, but still they have the brightest idea of producing a car that is able to consume less fuel.
This one of a kind design is a sure hit in the runway because of its feather weighted body that adds up to its speed, a fully covered body that even your hanged holiday dress won’t sway, and a multi-technology parts  that assures passenger’s safety.

Volkswagen team described the special feature of their amazing creation in this statement. “Riding on an 87.6-inch wheelbase and measuring 153.1 inches long, the XL1 has a footprint similar to that of the Mazda 2. But its Lamborghini Gallardo–like height (just 45.5 inches) helps create a slippery drag coefficient of 0.19. The unusual body design was largely influenced by the L1 concept, with a bubble-like greenhouse and sharply tapered rear end that help achieve the outstanding Cd. Two large scissor doors swing up from the A-pillar for easy—and showy—access. The cockpit has two bucket seats, with the passenger seat mounted slightly farther back than the driver’s.
The body is built from carbon fiber, with further weight gains realized by using magnesium wheels, ceramic brake discs, and aluminum suspension components. As a result, the XL1 tips the scales at a skinny 1753 pounds, with just 406 of those accounted for by steel or iron parts.”
Wow! That was really awesome! Maybe your gangster suits are inappropriate this time if you will be driving one of these. Although the price of this car is not yet unveiled, for sure, you can’t buy it a cheaper price now. But Volkswagen promised that they will have one display of it in every Volkswagen display room for the people to see.

The King’s Speech Movie Garnered 12 Oscar Nominations

The King’s Speech movie reigned over “Black Swan” and “The Social Network” with 12 smashing Oscar nominations.
Colin Firth and Helena Bonham Carter are vying for best actor and best actress categories respectively. They equally deserve the said nominations because they have really done a god job in the film.
For Colin, he played the role of King George VI who is considerably a really difficult and painful acting because of the stuttering scenes while Helena Bonham Carter exquisitely portrayed the majesty “Queen Mum”.
“The King's Speech" other nominations includes director Tom Hooper for Best Director, David Seidler for Best Screenwriter, and other categories such as best in cinematography, costume design, art direction and musical score.

Kudos to the cast of for a remarkable 12 Oscar Nominations! The proud men in their elegant suits with peak lapel as they pose for a nice major cast picture!

A Closer Look on Men’s Fashion -- Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

Seasons changes as the months go by, so as with fashion. Fashion goes in cycle motion and even though we think that fashion is a repetitive cycle; it always has something new to offer because as the years go by new creative fashion designers adds up to the fashion industry and create a whole new look out of the vintage. And that’s the birth of the new line of fashion for a certain year and season.
Yesterday, men are wearing white tube socks halfway up the calves, garage sale t-shirts and shorts from the 1970s for their daily outfits. To attend a ball or a social gathering expects that moms already prepared a freshly ironed outfit draped on the bed for the men on the house. Mothers and wives are the one scouting and setting up the suits to be worn by their sons and husbands without really asking if they want to wear it or not. That’s among the roles of women, to help with choosing or determining the perfect outfight for their men’s occasion. A well dressed man, meaning the suit has no single stain, smells fresh and is properly pressed earns the respect of the people around him and proves that she has a great woman in the house that truly takes care of him. That’s the custom way back then. Men don’t have a fashion guru like Carlo Lusso to give them tips on how to dress well, but they still manage to look their best. Although, comfort is not really much the priority in men fashion of yester years, we must be thankful that they have given us the two major qualities in fashion which is classicism and elegance.
Today, one of the most striking fashion changes in menswear was a widespread belief that clothing should be a bit more comfortable. The “comfort” aspect that is seemingly neglected in the past is the major consideration in men’s’ fashion nowadays. Men don’t just want to look classy and elegant in a suit, but they want to be comfortable in wearing it. It was very visible now that fashion's finger points to the low-cut dress shoe, not anymore the high cut ankle boot; the soft cotton dress collar from the golfer's wardrobe that were preferred to the high, stiff one that Elvis Presley was famous of; belts were trumping suspenders; put away those bellbottom jeans and give way to leggings and fitted trousers; good-bye tail coats, and hello tuxedo and welcome fitted suits for men. These are just some of the many changes in men fashion to achieve that comfort feeling without compromising the sense of classicism and elegance.
Tomorrow will be a whole new world for sure in men’s fashion. We can already have a clear vision that the more our world becomes advanced and modernized in terms of machines in manufacturing clothes; we can expect a great change in the texture and the over-all look of all apparels. We have already succeeded to be comfortable in all the clothes we wear. We don’t have an aim yet for tomorrow. But since man by nature can never be contented on everything, for sure those creative minds are already on works for what will be expected for tomorrow.

Becoming Successful with Men’s Interview Suits

In the world of business, one of the many things that need attention is the dress code that requires to be followed strictly. This is every career’s demand since through a dress or a suit does a man’s personality and presentation can be perceived. Suits for men play an important role in this kind of industry. It says a lot of things; and for decades, it has become as well as an emblem of success for business in the business world.

However, every success always starts at the bottom. For this, each person who opted to indulge in the business industry must undergo, first and foremost, an interview. An interview plays an important role in every man’s career; here starts how a person will write his success in aiming for his own goal. Aside from the behavior and communication skills a candidate must show in front of his interviewer, a well presented clothes/suit must be worn as well. Dress codes are very essential in interviews since clothes connote the kind of personality a person possesses.  In fact, a suit can either make or unmake a person’s impression. Thus, improper dressing or shabby dressing can create a bothersome situation. But on the other hand, proper clothing creates a better and positive result in favor of the candidate. This way, proper suits reflects one’s personality and can, therefore, create an image that one is serious about the job and the industry in which he seeks employment. As a maxim goes: “Be interviewed to impress and for success.”

The consideration in choosing the right suit for one’s interview is not the question whether one will look better in wearing a custom made men’s suit or an inexpensive mens suits; but as long as that one knows the main things to do in suit choosing, one can always claim the success he is dreaming of. Hence, taking note of several things is very essential.

Four main things can be noted in this regard: the suit must fit perfectly; the color must complement in every way, there must be proper fabric, and lastly, should feel comfortable when being worn. First thing must be the suit cut. Men can choose between a traditional European cut that looks more a tailored and fitted suit; and an American cut which is loser and more boxy. Thus, the cut must be measured to fit perfectly in one’s body thus avoid looking terrible if it’s not so much fitted on the physique of the wearer.

The right suit color is the next on the list. Black suits are distinguishingly perfect since it gives off a more professional look. Dark blue and gray are appropriate alternative for the black one. But regardless of other options, the color tone or the skin complexion of the wearer must be taken note first to complement well him better. Considering for the good fabric must also be taken into account since suit fabric affects so much how a person feels. Lastly, putting into accessories must only be simple; too much of it can be a distraction.

Consequently, what is more important in interviews is the confidence one has. So, wear it always as one aspires to be on the pinnacle of success.

Robert De Niro Jr. bags Cecil B. Demille Award 2011

For almost 50 fruitful years of being in the movie industry as a renowned actor, director and producer, Robert De Niro got the Cecil B. Demille Award for Lifetime Achievement given at the Golden Globe Awards night on January 17, 2010.
Robert De Niro was considered as one of the greatest actors of his generation and have played significant roles that earned him many awards such as an Academy Award for Best Author for the movie “Jake LaMotta” and four Golden Globe nominations for Best Actor in movies “New York, New York”, “Mignight Run”, “Analyze This”, and “Meet the Parents”.
This fellow is one true versatile actor because he can portray roles that call for; comedy scenes like the movie sequel “Meet the Parents” wherein he played as a funny father-in-law, action (“The Godfather” in which he portrays an influential young Vito who always wears tan suits , suspense (“Awakenings”), and even drama (“Jake LaMotta”). His recent action movie project is already set for release in 2011 entitled “The Killer Elite” in which he will co star with action superstar Jason Statham.
Aside from his acting career, this legend was also famous for directing box office movies including the “A Bronx Tale” and “The Good Shepherd”.
It was quite an achievement for a 67 year old good looking man. However, aside from his enthusiasm in acting and directing, he wants to further win the people’s hearts through their stomachs. According to Gourmet magazine and I quote, “De Niro is in negotiations with an internationally renowned chef, Natalia Jibladze, to launch a yet unnamed restaurant in Manhattan under his Tribeca trademark. He was in Malaysia recently, and while having lunch with the Malaysian Prime Minister's wife, was asked to open a Malay restaurant in Aloq Staq.” Sounds yummy!
Robert De Niro was as young like a model of men suits in that 1972 movie “The Godfather”.
The Best Movie Buddies Before: Robert De Niro’s grin is somewhat mysterious as he poses at the back of Al Pacino in the movie, “The Godfather II.”
The Best Movie Buddies Now: Just like the old days, still look equally fine-looking. These two are awesome partners in movies. In 2008, they reunited in the movie “The Righteous Kill”.
