Proper Church Suits: The Etiquette of Reverence

In the western world, suits became the ideal symbol for men’s apparel. Men’s suits became the emblem of masculinity in as much as dresses are women’s insignia of feminity. Yet fashion is not just limited neither to gender or the demand of a certain occasion. For this reason, fashion diminishes the idea that suits and even dresses are only for formal gatherings and styling through suits and dresses are exclusive only for meets or social functions. It can also be as well observed in worship places.

Because of the conception that church dresses are classical, fashion designers recreate this idea into a much trendy closer look to church suits as something to cope with the demands of the society; that is, even in worshipping since church places are homes to worshippers and to God Himself so it requires proper etiquette on wearing suits and dresses in a sense. Thus, in the present fashion world designers come up with perfectly fitting church dresses and suits that will surely meet the standard of church etiquettes. Also, to mark the current trends in church dresses.

So the same with business suits for a conference or formal meeting, wearing church suits require planning. This is so because clothing can surely reflect a respect and disrespect of a person in the solemnity of the place. On one hand, formal shirts and trousers are commonly used as church dresses for men. But on one hand, one consideration that can be taken is wearing plaid suits for men such as black suits. A black suit may suit well. But liturgically speaking, black are commonly used for funerals; and are very classical yet timely. This may kind of awkward to the wearer.

At any rate, others may loosen up with their business black suit and try to gear up with other suit color since church suits comes in an array of colors, design, and styles just like designer suits. Among the wide spectrum for choosing a color, white is a staple color code for church dresses. The color connotes purity, simplicity, and elegance. Hence, any decent and elegant dress suit in white or any different shades of white are always the best option. And for a more sophisticated classy look, grey suits are perfect alternative for both black and white dresses. Some even prefer to wear vintage or classical type of clothing during church ceremonies. Above all the considering about the suit color, comfort must take precedence to this option. This way, there is a high probability of refraining from fidgeting too much while at mass, worship or service.
